Pilgrims On The Way

our old theologians used to make a lot out of the distinction between God's knowledge and ours...they distinguished...between a knowledge of God in himslef (a theology of glory), which was unavailable to us, and a revelation of God accommodated to our weakness (a theology of the cross). they called "our theology" theologia viatorum, "the theology of pilgrims." while pilgrims haven't already arrived, they know where they're headed and are even now on their way by God's grace. -Michael Horton

We've been sick...

Both Jer and I have had a nasty flu bug this weekend. Somehow the boys were both spared from this. Jer missed some work. I still got to go back to Abby for a high-school friend's wedding. I had the boys with me, which left my poor hubby in his bed-ridden state to the astute care of his mother and nurse sister. Monday morn I came home, we enjoyed a sick day together and then put the boys to bed early and followed suit. Tuesday we were feeling quite a bit better- just in time to welcome our friends, Brent and Jody with their kids. They spent the day with us, set up tent in our back yard, and left after a big waffle breakfast in the morning. It was really neat to have some good old friends hang out with us in our new home.
... just now I'm having a hard time typing with one hand and nursing Ben with the other... I should go for now!
