Pilgrims On The Way

our old theologians used to make a lot out of the distinction between God's knowledge and ours...they distinguished...between a knowledge of God in himslef (a theology of glory), which was unavailable to us, and a revelation of God accommodated to our weakness (a theology of the cross). they called "our theology" theologia viatorum, "the theology of pilgrims." while pilgrims haven't already arrived, they know where they're headed and are even now on their way by God's grace. -Michael Horton

More be-lated birthday fun!!

So, Isaiah finally had a party too. It turned out that with our moving and Zach and Daddy both starting school and all the craziness of life, that I didn't get to host a party with all his little buddies. (Because I love blessing my kids with an exciting themed party for each of their birthdays, I felt quite sad that he got a bit jipped; good thing he doesn't know it!)
We did host our family birthday party- this one for Isaiah's and Dad Harnett's together. With three cousins, four kids of our own, and eight adults, we made quite a party!

My original plan for Isaiah's party was going to be a Animal Circus theme. I put some of my ideas into action. Our yard became a circus riot!

There were little critters everywhere!!

Monkeys, Zebras, Bears...

We played silly games like "Pin the Tail on the Donkey". (The blindfold obviously worked well because Benjamin actually knocked his head on the shed when he walked right into it!!)

We did some apple dunking... and for the smaller mouths strawberry dunking!

As the evening cooled down, we took the party indoors for present opening and cake. First, however, Isaiah desperately needed a bath!!

Isaiah was blessed; Grandpa was blessed and both of them blessed us too!!
