Pilgrims On The Way

our old theologians used to make a lot out of the distinction between God's knowledge and ours...they distinguished...between a knowledge of God in himslef (a theology of glory), which was unavailable to us, and a revelation of God accommodated to our weakness (a theology of the cross). they called "our theology" theologia viatorum, "the theology of pilgrims." while pilgrims haven't already arrived, they know where they're headed and are even now on their way by God's grace. -Michael Horton

Growing Gals!!

Our little ladies keep growing!
I think Emily (left), who is the youngest of the three is winning in the weight category. Madalene, in the stripes, who is a month older than Abigail is a close second. Little Abigail is a few pounds smaller, but just as healthy! If hair weighed more, however....

In these photos Em and Abi are both four months old and Maddy is just over five months.

Daddies' girls'.... is that how you'd spell that??

The two Papas on the outside are brothers. In fact, in a previous posting of the three gals with their little buddy (the tiny boy baby), that little boy's daddy is also one of the brothers in this clan. Now that's some family timing, eh?

And the Mamas with their little girls. It's so special that us ladies have this friendship; it has only been strengthened with the extra bond we share in raising these girls.
Erin, on the left, is another Mama of four kids under five years of age; we are kindred hearts in many ways!
Alyssa, on the right, is a first time Mom with her precious Emily!

My Birthday!

Okay, so I'm a month late in posting it...
I turned the BIG 30 last month. (I'm not worried; afterall, they say that 30 is the new 20!... whatever that means.)

My wonderful hubby planned a huge and spectacular BBQ- not just your ordinary BBQ that is: fine steaks, whole chickens, etc- and invited a bunch of our friends to come and bless me!! It worked!

My dear friend Joanne, the amazing cake decorator, made this scrumptious black forest cake for the party!

Mom and Dad Harnett hosted the shin-dig on their lovely patio/deck. It was a great time (w/o kids!) and with wonderful friends and family!
Thanks Babe!

Oh yes, and he also ordered a gorgeous bouquet for me which
totally reminded me of my bridal bouquet 6.5 years ago!
