Pilgrims On The Way

our old theologians used to make a lot out of the distinction between God's knowledge and ours...they distinguished...between a knowledge of God in himslef (a theology of glory), which was unavailable to us, and a revelation of God accommodated to our weakness (a theology of the cross). they called "our theology" theologia viatorum, "the theology of pilgrims." while pilgrims haven't already arrived, they know where they're headed and are even now on their way by God's grace. -Michael Horton

What a party we had!!!

We had a smashing Thanksgiving Sunday!! Our guests included Tony, Bekah, their boys, Andy and Bekah's folks! What a great crowd. (We sure missed Mom and Dad though- they're out in Paraguay at present!)
We wined and dined. (We sang the Doxology in at least five part harmony!) The feast was quite amazing, beginning with a "bisque" made by the man of this home. The rest was a traditional-style Turkey dinner spread prepared by myself and my wonderful sister-in-law.

After the boys were all tucked in for the night, we pushed the table and chairs aside, rolled up the rug and danced, laughed and quite enjoyed each other's company.

Now the guests have gone ('cept Andy), the clock strikes late, and we sit around recovering and wishing the party didn't have to be over yet. But alas, our pillows are bekoning us as well. We sure are thankful for many good things, and tonite was a reminder of many of these.
A blessed Thanksgiving to you all.
