vendredi, avril 06, 2007Goodbye Grandma TutykoThis past weekend we celebrated Auntie Carol's 50th without Grandma there. We had Jerine's bridal shower. The baby is not yet arrived. And Grandma is with Jesus in Heaven. Grandma's memorial service was a beautiful celebration of her life. She was a servant of the Lord, ministering to many through her love and generosity. She was a prime example of a Proverbs 31 woman. She lived a full life and saw the Lord work in many ways. She blessed her husband and children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. And at her memorial service, she was called "bless-ed" and was given the praise due her name. We will miss Grandma. We grieve because there is a hole left in the place where she dwelt in our lives. And yet, there is such a peace and assurance because of the hope that we have in Christ; this hope that Grandma lived for as well. Goodbye Grandma. But not forever. ![]()
