Pilgrims On The Way

our old theologians used to make a lot out of the distinction between God's knowledge and ours...they distinguished...between a knowledge of God in himslef (a theology of glory), which was unavailable to us, and a revelation of God accommodated to our weakness (a theology of the cross). they called "our theology" theologia viatorum, "the theology of pilgrims." while pilgrims haven't already arrived, they know where they're headed and are even now on their way by God's grace. -Michael Horton

Teeth, stairs and other things that hurt...

Isaiah's got his two front teeth- for Palm Sunday instead of Christmas!
He's been as miserable as I've ever seen him be. Even so, he's not a grouchy kid at all!! But I can tell he's suffering- poor guy!

And then, the other day I lay him on the floor in front of the bathroom door, so that I could strip Benny down for the boys' bath. Well, wouldn't you know! That baby can roll.... I heard a few bump-sqeak-bump-bump-wah-bump.... and I turned and little 'Saiah was not where I had layed him down!! I screamed and ran to find him at the very bottom of the stairs!! He was all crumpled up and crying in shock! Poor guy. (Stupid Mommy!!)
He was quite alright though. I'm glad God made babies limp. Yes, I've forgiven myself!!!

Other things that hurt??
Well, I have had to sit on the bench for the last couple of weeks of soccer practice. I sprained my quad muscles- both of them- a few weeks ago. I can barely do a light jog, let alone sprint or kick a ball. So, I've been going to physio and receiving great treatment and advice there. But I'll have to sit for another couple of weeks. Our first game is Wednesday, so that's a bust!! Oh well, if I don't sit and let it heal I'll be on the bench all season.

My new shift at work gets me up at 4:30am to start at 5:15am. That hurts! (But I've been rpomoted to supervisor on my shifts, with a pay-raise too. So that's a pretty good band-aid for my pain!)

No other pains that I can think of right now, ... other than the usual Ben's bonks, Zachy's chapped lips, and Jer's sore back.
