mercredi, août 31, 2005We've been sick...Both Jer and I have had a nasty flu bug this weekend. Somehow the boys were both spared from this. Jer missed some work. I still got to go back to Abby for a high-school friend's wedding. I had the boys with me, which left my poor hubby in his bed-ridden state to the astute care of his mother and nurse sister. Monday morn I came home, we enjoyed a sick day together and then put the boys to bed early and followed suit. Tuesday we were feeling quite a bit better- just in time to welcome our friends, Brent and Jody with their kids. They spent the day with us, set up tent in our back yard, and left after a big waffle breakfast in the morning. It was really neat to have some good old friends hang out with us in our new home. ... just now I'm having a hard time typing with one hand and nursing Ben with the other... I should go for now! mercredi, août 17, 2005I hung pictures on the wall...Our little town house is starting to feel more like home now that I've hung our pictures up. Something about hanging 'same-olds' on the wall makes you feel settled... somehow. For those of you who asked, our e-mail is currently a mere: jtzharnett@yahoo.ca And what's an RSS Engler's? How do I turn it on? I'm not very good at this computer stuff; I can type, that's about it! I just finished making three batches of peach jam- living in the Okanagen will push you to these limits. Both boys fell asleep.... It's a cloudy day (finally) and so it was a good one to work over the hot stove. I even baked banana bread this morning- cool enough to have the oven on and not melt into a puddle on my kitchen floor! So, for today that's my update. I'm glad for those of you who replied to the last posting- it's good to have friends all over the place. We'll be even more frequent corrosponders after our internet gets connected. With Telus strike still on, we've had to wait for a while to get ours hooked up. It's good to be patient. Tanya dimanche, août 07, 2005We're still here... somewhere!!Hello to everyone ... to anyone who is still trying to keep updated on the Harnett clan via this blog... to anyone who hasn't given up on us.... We're still around... somewhere. I'm typing this in Armstrong, where we'll be staying at my parent's new lot (house in progress) which is actually in Enderby.... Our new home is in Kelowna (BC), which we just filled with our belongings since arriving back from Caronport (SK) on Thursday... .... ... after having lived in Abbotsford for the past 3 and a half months, in five seperate homes ... So now I have a quick moment to send some photos your way. Ben is already (only) FOUR MONTHS OLD!! (With the crazy hectic-ness of our summer, it feels like his labour day was last year!!) I HOPE SOMEONE IS READING THIS!! ... hello? Who's out there?.... Anyway, so here we are in our new home. This time the plan is long term residency. We have most of our family (Harnett and Janzen) within an hour of our little two-bedroom townhouse. We have a beautiful lake/beaches within a 25 minute walk... (might I tempt any of you readers to come for a visit? Jer serves up a pretty mean BBQ!) Okay, here's some pics and we'll fill you all in more later!! Tanya for the four of us!! ps new photots in our "photos on the way" section too!
