Pilgrims On The Way

our old theologians used to make a lot out of the distinction between God's knowledge and ours...they distinguished...between a knowledge of God in himslef (a theology of glory), which was unavailable to us, and a revelation of God accommodated to our weakness (a theology of the cross). they called "our theology" theologia viatorum, "the theology of pilgrims." while pilgrims haven't already arrived, they know where they're headed and are even now on their way by God's grace. -Michael Horton

Zach's Birthday Camping Trip!!

(no, this is not a mistaken "S". This is "Z" for our SuperZach! And he is FOUR YEARS OLD!!)

We just got back today from a weekend camping at Bear Creek Provincial Campground. It was alot of fun!! The boys were definately in their element. All three of them were naturals at exploring, adventuring, tenting and "roughing it".
We went with my parents (Janzens), and invited a slew of families for Saturday morning/afternoon when we hosted Zach's fourth birthday party!! He wanted a SUPERHERO party. He and Ben were both Superman. We also had a Super Sheep and a Super Elephant at the party! (cute)
All the kids, however, were SUPER!!

For the evening Mom and Dad Harnett joined us for dinner and a campfire.

Zach missed a couple of his buddies that didn't make it to the party- especially his cousin Malachi, who sent him early wishes for a happy birthday all the way from Black Creek on the Island.

Other than the party, we enjoyed Opa's canoe and "old fashioned" bicycle, lots of camp-firing, dipping into the lake, eating much good camping food, taking turns playing the accordion, and generally just enjoying each others' company!
