lundi, septembre 22, 2008Little Man Isaiah turned two... and it's taken me a month and a half to tell everyone!!!We took the kids to Wendys for 'Saiah's birthday meal, which seams to be becoming a tradition. And then we took them to a big park in Kelowna- I think it's got the biggest playground, plus a water park. Jer and I laughed ourselves silly at the kids' antics. Altogether a great family day to celebrate Isaiah's special occasion! I love you little guy!! ;) jeudi, septembre 11, 2008Camping Fun at Mable Lake with the Janzen clan! With a few different locations and set-up formats of our tent/tarp scheme, Jeremy finally established a primo campsite... until the 90+km winds began our second night there.... But what else is camping for other than to configure better tarp/tent formats??? ;) My two clowns ... it took a dozen shots of these cute guys squished so nicely in that tiny chair, before I finally got one half decent photo: The location was absolutely beautiful. We spent the first day and night there just our little family. The second day my folks, my mom's youngest brother (Rob), and my little bro (Andy) joined us. And then the rains came....... But the sun did shine again. We had a great time together, ruffing it, surviving it, .... Again, four kids in a rainy campsite, tenting and generally dealing with no amenities.... WHO DOES THIS?? ;) All I kept thinking was, "next year will be so much easier!" mercredi, septembre 10, 2008Camping in Orroville with the Harnett clan! What a hoot we had early August down across the border. The good stuff camping is made of: Campfires and all the fun of holding a roasting stick Chowing down in the "dining hall" Wrestling with Uncle Justin Hangin' out with the US Park Ranger.... Tenting, of course; it wouldn't be half the adventure if we were RVing with four young children... Chillin' with the Fam Bathing in a small tub in the great outdoors... the kids that is, not me! And then, we took a short road-trip to a ghost town called Molson. It was really neat to visit; especially the old school house which had been set up as a museum. Really nifty!
