Pilgrims On The Way

our old theologians used to make a lot out of the distinction between God's knowledge and ours...they distinguished...between a knowledge of God in himslef (a theology of glory), which was unavailable to us, and a revelation of God accommodated to our weakness (a theology of the cross). they called "our theology" theologia viatorum, "the theology of pilgrims." while pilgrims haven't already arrived, they know where they're headed and are even now on their way by God's grace. -Michael Horton

Long weekend... FULL of good times!

The kids and I headed to Abbotsford this last weekend- Friday to Monday. Jer stayed in K-town to study and enjoy his "alone time".

Paraguay-inspired gatherings... well, relations there-from.... We had another typically great reunion with much meat and catching up on each others' lives.
Cousins reuniting and wondering if, with the passing of our parents' generation, will we still make the efforts to gather as extended family?

My boys hit it off well with their second cousins. There were tears of parting at the end of the evening!! (okay, much induced by the fatigue of a long day!)

How do I look with a little girl in my arms??? This little one is my cousin Connie's girl, Emily. She's a doll!

And of course we enjoyed the Canada Day Parade. The boys loved it- especially Benny! He hasn't stopped talking about the firetrucks and clowns!
Auntie Kerry joined us, as well as my parents. The weather was perfect!!

And each day we would find our haven of rest from all the busyness at the home of our dear friends: the Dirks. Howard and Kathy are also Zach's god-parents. There home is peaceful, un-cluttered and warm with love for us!

And then we hit the road, my kids and I, and headed the beautiful journey back home- singing praise songs with "Psalty the Singing Song-book", listening to a John McArthur sermon on contentment, and eating our snacks of granola bars and apple slices.
